The Law Offices of Jeffrey J. Kroll today filed suit against Hulcher Services, Inc., alleges a slippery crane surface as cause of accident which lead to the eventual amputation of worker's toes

Kroll filed suit today against Hulcher Services, Inc., a railroad services provider, alleging negligence in a December 2008 rail yard incident that caused plaintiff Michael Haddix to lose all five toes on his left foot. Kroll alleges that the company chose unsuitable equipment to uncouple the rail cars and failed to properly support it, especially in rainy conditions.

When the coupling between two rail cars became jammed and the cars locked together on December 19, 2008 in a Bedford Park rail yard, Hulcher Services brought in a hi-rail crane to uncouple the cars. Kroll alleges the crane was improperly supported for the rainy conditions, and therefore caused it to shift, inflicting crushing injuries to Haddix. Kroll is seeking damages in excess of $50,000.
