Gnarus Advisors adds two new distinguished experts to broaden its team's expertise in environmental policy, insurance costs and litigation.
Arlington, VA (PRWEB) March 11, 2010 -- Gnarus Advisors LLC announced today that it is expanding its team with two distinguished environmental policy, insurance costs and litigation experts.
Lisa A. Walsh joins Gnarus as a principal and Jeffrey Zelikson joins the analytic and expert services consulting firm as a director. Both previously worked at LECG and Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett, Inc.
“Lisa and Jeff are both leading experts in environmental cost analysis and litigation,” said Stephen Sellick, founder and managing director of Gnarus Advisors. “The addition of these seasoned consultants adds more depth to our firm as we continue to build a team that meets the highest expectations of our clients.”
Walsh specializes in environmental cost issues in multiple situations, including sustainability, strategic management, bankruptcy, financial disclosure and insurance recovery. She is the co-chair of the Women’s Council on Energy and the Environment’s (WCEE) Sustainability Sub-Committee and a member of the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) Subcommittee on Sustainability.
“Having participated in some of the largest environmental coverage settlements and bankruptcy litigations nationwide, I am looking forward to bringing my expertise to Gnarus Advisors and to help our clients devise and implement environmental sustainability strategies,” Walsh said.
A frequent writer on environmental issues, Wash was graduated with a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
Zelikson brings more than 30 years of experience to Gnarus Advisors on issues that span the private sector, state and federal government arenas. In addition to his previous consulting experience, he had a distinguished 25-year career with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
As a regulator in the early 1970s, Zelikson specialized in water resource issues and then hazardous waste site policy-making and remediation with the discovery of the first sites late the same decade. His direct field and decision-making experiences at hundreds of sites provided significant value to clients involved in disputes with government regulatory agencies, insurance coverage for environmental damage, Superfund cost recovery and contribution actions and other environmental disputes. Zelikson also advised clients in a variety of environmental compliance matters.
“I have been involved in environmental policy, regulatory and program development, as well as the implementation of environmental programs since the beginning of such activities,” Zelikson said. “I am looking forward to bringing my regulatory and private sector experience to Gnarus Advisors.”
