Rev. Michel Faulkner Seeks to Retire Charlie Rangel from New York's 15th Congressional Seat

This November, voters in NY-15 can put an end to decades of unethical and disinterested leadership in Northern Manhattan by supporting Rev. Michel Faulkner, a former NFL player and community leader, for Congress.

New York, NY (PRWEB) March 11, 2010 -- After decades of serving the men and women of New York City through church leadership and nonprofit service, Rev. Michel Faulkner has announced that he wants to return democracy and ethical representation to the people of the Northern Manhattan. “The people of my community have been robbed of the American Dream because of unethical and ineffective leadership of Charlie Rangel and it is time for a change,” Rev. Faulkner said.

“I have always believed that my highest calling is to serve the powerless and speak for the voiceless,” explained Rev. Faulkner. “I will bring that same energy and drive as a representative of my community in Washington, D.C.”

“The people of my community have been robbed of the American Dream because of unethical and ineffective leadership of Charlie Rangel and it is time for a change,” Rev. Faulkner said.
As the Congressman representing New York’s 15th district, which includes Washington Heights, Harlem and parts of the Upper West Side, Rev. Faulkner will:

  • Support small business initiatives to foster job creation
  • Support charter school expansion to improve education
  • Support community-based health and wellness initiatives
  • Reduce wasteful federal government spending and taxes

Rev. Faulkner’s experience and drive to serve make him the best person to represent the people of Northern Manhattan with honesty and integrity. Today, more than ever, the citizens of Harlem and Washington Heights need a trusted voice in Washington.

Rev. Faulkner will provide leadership with integrity, honesty and civility to the citizens of the 15th Congressional district, leadership which sets an example for the community, leadership which helps the community rise above the need for government dependency and bailouts, leadership which enables the citizens to realize their God-given potential.
