Austin, TX (PRWEB) March 11, 2010 -- Recognizing the need for dental care to underprivileged clients, Dr. Michael McCarty of Austin Smiles has jumped in with both feet and has begun participating in the Donated Dental Services (DDS) program, spearheaded by the Texas Dental Association and the Capital Area Dental Foundation. “It is very rewarding for me to serve my clients, underprivileged or otherwise. When my clients look and feel better, I can take satisfaction in knowing that I was able to help them,” explains the Austin dentist.
The DDS program offers comprehensive dental care for adults who are disabled, underprivileged, or over 55. The care may include extractions, dentures, oral surgery or a number of other procedures the individual may need.

The Capital Area Dental Foundation’s 2010 Gala was held Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin. This year’s theme was “Adventures in Wonderland.”
Founded in 1924 with the goal of uniting dentists in the five-county area that makes up the Greater Austin Area, the foundation coordinates services like the Donated Dental Service for the community. With over 540 members, the foundation’s mission is to serve, represent and educate members and the public for the purpose of maintaining integrity and the high standards of the dental profession.
Dr. McCarty, owner of Austin Smiles, a premier cosmetic dentistry clinic located on the northwest side of Austin, has been offering life-changing services for over thirty years. The practice provides a spa-like environment to its clients and the culture is aimed at the client’s comfort and experience above all. “Dental offices carry a stigma.
