E-discovery and litigation support expert joins industry-leading technology company
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) January 22, 2010 -- Orlando-based Wave Software, a leading provider of early case assessment, legal hold, litigation support and electronic data discovery technology for global corporations, today announced that Patrick Young joined the company as Vice President of Sales. Mr. Young is responsible for business development and managing Wave Software’s sales team, and will lead the company to continued growth.
Patrick Young started his career in litigation support back in 1990 with Nightrider Overnight Copy Service as an account manager, where he successfully developed an outlying territory ten-fold before leaving to help grow a small litigation service bureau in Kansas City. He then spent the next 12 years with OmniDox (formerly FYI, Inc. and Eagle Legal Services, LLC). He started at OmniDox as an account manager and worked his way up the ranks to become Sales Manager, Managing Partner and then Regional Vice President. He had full responsibility of company profits and losses as well as full accountability for sales generation for his region of seven litigation service bureaus and an offshore coding facility in St. Vincent. Operations such as hiring, firing, reviews, budgets, financials, sales and personnel management were also his responsibility within his region. While at OmniDox, Mr. Young was able to consult with law firms and corporate legal departments on the best way to manage the slow but sure transition from paper discovery to electronic discovery.
In 2004, Mr. Young joined Image Capture Engineering (ICE), an Omaha-based software company specializing in scanning and electronic discovery software. While helping that successful company become even more successful, Mr. Young became Vice President of Sales at ICE and drove the team to 40 percent growth. And, having been through a number of acquisitions before, he was instrumental in ICE’s acquisition by LexisNexis in June 2007.
At LexisNexis, Mr. Young was given the additional responsibility of Concordance sales, resulting in the formation of a new LexisNexis product and service line: Discovery Services. In terms of sales force success, each of his teams has retired its annual goals in October in both of the last two years. Also note that while Mr. Young was at LexisNexis, the LAW Prediscovery sales team increased revenue 40 percent every year. And his Concordance team also managed double-digit growth under extremely difficult conditions.
In Mr. Young’s eighteen years of legal experience, he has brought corporations, law firms and industry-leading service bureaus through evolution of discovery; from scanning, bates labeling, and coding to forensics and e-discovery. From a discovery perspective, Mr. Young has been through it all. The next logical career step for him was to turn to Wave Software. Being a visionary for the industry, he understands where Wave Software and Trident Pro are headed and wants to be a part of a company that is at the forefront of offering technology that pushes through the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) as efficiently, effectively and cost consciously as possible.
Robert Childress, President of Wave Software, stated, “We are excited to have Patrick join our team of professionals. He is an enthusiastic and motivated sales leader with a long history of serving both customer and company needs while generating profit and developing people to do the same. It is rewarding to see that someone with such a rich and extensive history in litigation support is joining Wave Software to help it forge to the next level. Everyone will benefit tremendously as he possesses a strong commitment to improving client relations, product development and personnel development.”
Mr. Young has won numerous sales, sales management and leadership awards. More importantly, he is both creative and innovative in terms of problem solving and the ability to manage clients. His other core strengths are synergistic with Wave Software and its award-winning software Trident Pro in that he has a strong focus of long-term customer relationships based on honesty, integrity and outstanding customer service. Trident Pro e-discovery software is used by law firms, corporate legal departments, and litigation support and e-discovery service providers to quickly preprocess, filter and cull data in preparation for attorney review.
Since its inception, Wave Software has experienced a minimum of 200 percent growth, year after year. The company’s success is being driven by a dramatic increase in the number of global consulting firms, law firms, corporate legal departments and legal vendors that have adopted the company’s Trident Pro suite of applications. Wave Software recently won significant industry technology awards, including two LTN Awards. LTN Awards recognize the best technology use—and users—in the legal profession. Winning these two awards comes shortly after Wave Software’s announcement of winning an ITFlorida technology award. ITFlorida recognized Wave Software as a company that transforms, unites and builds recognition for the exceptional achievements of Florida's information technology community. Wave Software has won these awards for the impact, innovation and advancement of its flagship product, Trident Pro.
Trident Pro integrates seamlessly into the law firm, corporate legal or legal service provider’s current workflow processes. It allows users to review electronic data in a standard review tool and isolate the responsive data that can then be delivered to opposing counsel in their native file format. The industry-first, built-in Native Review Bridge capability automatically maps fields and loads data from Trident Pro into common review platforms.
