Building on their reputation of being one of the easiest to use document management software products on the market, version 6 adds features such as folder monitoring, email capture, reporting and parameterized saved searches.
The new versions of Globodox and Sohodox once again prove that document management software need not be expensive or complex.
Sohodox version 6 enables the small office and home office user to manage their documents using a set of tools and features unmatched by any other product in the market. It provides a single system for managing existing electronic files as well as scanned paper documents. Users work with a single simple application to scan and add documents, tag and index documents and share documents. Sohodox is a multi-user system so multiple users can simultaneously work with the same document database from multiple machines.
Globodox version 6 enables the small to medium business to use the tools that only large companies have been able to use to manage their documents. Globodox enables this without requiring large investments in licensing, installation, configuration or training. It is a fully configurable out of the box system that just works. It is the only system which comes with a full featured Windows Desktop client as well as web browser based client enabling users to choose the right client based on their requirements.
Globodox supports document check-in/checkout, document versioning, encryption, audit trail and comprehensive role based security. Globodox allows documents to be grouped as stacks as well as allows documents to be linked to each other. A Globodox database can be MS SQL Server or MySQL based.
New features in version 6 of both products include...
1) The feature to automatically download and index email messages from multiple POP3 mailboxes makes Globodox and Sohodox great tools for email archival. Manage email messages using the same application you use to manage your documents. Captured messages can also be tagged, assigned to folders and linked to each other. Messages can be made available to all users of the system. In Globodox access to messages can also be controlled based on user role or even on a per message basis.
2) One or more folders can now be monitored and any new files found in those folders can be automatically added to the database. A different indexing and security profile can be set for each monitored folder.
3) Built-in usage reports let you see documents added or modified by users on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. The reports can be exported as a PDF, HTML, MHT or XLS files.
