The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin partners with the Durham Rescue Mission and the Central Children’s Home of North Carolina to provide holiday gifts.

Durham, NC (PRWEB) January 13, 2010 -- As part of its ongoing community outreach, the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin was proud to partner with the Durham Rescue Mission and the Central Children’s Home of North Carolina to provide holiday gifts to 36 underprivileged children and youths this holiday season.

The firm received the names of 23 children from the Durham Rescue Mission and 13 children and youths from the Central Children’s Home of North Carolina ranging in age from one-month to 20-years old who may have otherwise gone without gifts this holiday season. It was the firm’s goal to provide at least one gift per recipient. But the large response by the firms employee’s allowed it to provide several gifts for each person. Gifts ranged from clothing and toys to videos and gift certificates.

“While we are not always privileged to meet the recipients, for that time at least, they become part of our extended family," says Attorney Tara Williams, head of the Social Services Committee.
Many staff members participated in numerous ways such as directly “adopting” the children and adolescents and choosing their gifts, shopping for them with money donated by employees, and wrapping and delivering gifts to the Durham Rescue Mission or the Central Children’s Home of North Carolina.

“The employees of the firm have always loved the annual holiday gift giving event,” says Attorney Tara Williams, head of the Social Services Committee. “Our gift sharing varies each year, but the shopping and wrapping of the gifts remains one of our favorite activities.
