Video Librarian’s Best Documentaries of 2009 Index includes such films as 2009 Oscar nominated The Garden and Academy Award 2010 shortlisted documentary Food, Inc. not to mention film festival favorite Anvil: The Story of Anvil and other worthy films. Boris Ivanov, Producer, said: “We are honored to be included among such notable films and we hope to spread the word about Fatherhood Dreams and its educational potential.”

According to Video Librarian, Fatherhood Dreams “offers a sensitive treatment of a controversial subject (even more so in the United States)”. Educational Media Reviews Online calls Fatherhood Dreams “an excellent portrait of gay parenting and shows that gay fathers exist and are essentially just like any other parents” and, as Booklist describes, “scenes of the men enjoying parenting time, interacting with family and loved ones, and commenting on what it means to be dads in a world that hasn’t quite accepted them as parents make a compelling argument in favor of gay parenting and child-rearing diversity.”

The documentary is produced by Interfilm Productions in association with Global Television, a division of CanWestMediaWorks Inc. and is available for home and educational use with public presentation rights directly from http://www.fatherhooddreams.com/purchase.htm as well as from many DVD retailers and educational distributors.
