Nikki Mehrpoo Jacobson of Jacobson & Han LLP, Immigration Attorneys has been appointed Chair of the Beverly Hills Bar Association's Immigration Law Committee. The Immigration Law Committee addresses matters relevant to the practice of Immigration Law.

For its first program in 2010, Ms. Mehrpoo Jacobson organized and moderated a program entitled "Trying A Case In Immigration Court: Advice From The Bench And Bar."

The event featured three speakers: Honorable Assistant Chief Immigration Judge Thomas Y. K. Fong, Honorable Immigration Judge Bruce Einhorn (Retired) and Honorable Immigration Judge Gilbert T. Gembacz (Retired). The participants covered the following topics: Introduction to the Immigration Court Practice Manual, How to Prepare for an Appearance before the Los Angeles Immigration Court at a "master calendar hearing" and "individual hearing," Burdens of Proof for Adjustment of Status, Cancellation of Removal and Asylum Cases, Inadmissibility and Deportability Issues and Suggestions for Winning an Immigration Case.
