Marlborough, MA (PRWEB) January 21, 2010 -- On January 4th 2010 the central department within the Danish Ministry of Transport took a step into the future – a step which a few years ago seemed utopian.

The central department within the Danish Ministry of Transport is possibly the first central governmental organization who has implemented full digital information flow covering all work performed as well as supporting everybody from youngest employee to the Permanent Secretary and the Minister. The department is thereby the first major public organization in the world that has eliminated the need for paper for all internal work.

The software used is called cBrain F2 and delivered by the NASDAQ-OMX listed software firm cBrain.

The software is based on a concept called “Knowledge Worker Desktop”, which supports all departmental workflows and tasks. The software runs on traditional desktop computers as well as mobile devices/phones. Furthermore social media tools “inside the firewall” are tightly integrated with the work processes – a concept often referred to as Government 2.0.

The department of the Danish Ministry of Transport has already registered increased operational throughput and improved turnaround time for processing case work. Among the many benefits are that all work cases and their current status can be found instantly using the real-time electronic search. Information archiving is an integral part of the digital workflow ensuring regulatory compliance.
