A New York Neighborhood Gets Hit Hard When A Piece Breaks Off A Plane

New York personal injury attorney David Perecman makes a case for everyone to have the number of a personal injury attorney after a heavy metal piece falls off a plane and lands in a local Long Island backyard.

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 24, 2009 -- New York personal injury attorney David Perecman points to a recent occurrence as a reminder that everyone should have the number of a personal injury attorney - just in case.

On Saturday, November 4, 2009, a chunk of metal fell off a Tokyo-bound jumbo jet and landed in a Long Island family's driveway. The piece that fell was identified as a 3-by-4-foot engine tail cone from a Delta Airlines 777.

"You may never know when accidents may happen and it's best to always be prepared. How many people could predict a piece falling off a plane and nearly missing their house? I'd say, none in New York," personal injury attorney David Perecman said.

Luckily, the only living thing injured by the plane piece was a tree. If anyone had been hit, they would most likely be dead.

The cone fell off shortly after the plane's takeoff from JFK Airport, according to the National Transportation Safety Board. The pilots didn't even realize the cone had fallen off the plane until it landed at Tokyo's Narita International Airport. A routine inspection revealed that the part had gone missing.

New York personal injury attorney Perecman, also reflects on the fact that a part did fall off a plane.

"Passengers place their faith in the airplanes they fly in. When a piece falls off one, it raises a lot of questions and fears," said Perecman. "One more reason everyone should have a New York injury attorney's number somewhere handy."

Even New York personal injury attorneys should be prepared to file a personal injury claim of their own," added Perecman.
