(Vocus/PRWEB ) June 21, 2010 -- New York, NY, June 21, 2010 -- Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced that its client, Godwin Pumps, a leading supplier of automatic self-priming portable pumps used in the markets for drainage pump rental, services and sales in the industrial, construction, mining, municipal, and oil and gas segments, has agreed to be acquired by ITT Corporation for $585 million. Greenberg Traurig's team was led by David Schwartzbaum, co-chair of the firms Global M&A Steering Committee, and Jonathan Ain, both shareholders in the New York office.
Founded in 1976, Godwin Pumps is based in Bridgeport, NJ and has approximately 800 employees located throughout the United States and its manufacturing facility in Gloucestershire, England. The company operates a rental fleet of more than 6,000 pumps at 26 equipment rental facilities and a network of approximately 50 distributors worldwide.
This transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2010 pending customary regulatory approvals.
