Canada has the opportunity to be an international leader in personalized medicine and needs to invest in this area for the health of Canadians, explains Program Co-chair Agnes V. Speakers from academia, industry, regulatory agencies and patient groups will discuss the needs and opportunities from their specific points of view and explore the scope, science and medical elements of personalized medicine that can be used as indicators of disease diagnosis, progression, treatment and prognosis and would allow for a better targeting of the right therapies for patients.
