(PRWEB) July 4, 2010 -- Pathe Records has been added to the list of record companies revived by international lawyer Giovanni Di Stefano. Together with MGM Records and Pye Records the three record companies will now service the need for the consumer worldwide.
"Pathe is a traditional name and its my second time around with this name but this time it will be for the long haul," said Di Stefano.
Together with Giancarlo Parretti in 1989 Pathe Communications Corp acquired MGM the famous film company from legend Kirk Kirkorian in a €1.27 billion deal. Di Stefano was a shareholder in the venture that would ultimately see MGM revert to the control of French bank Credit Lyonnais.
"This is about music and not films and as a French company it will have a distinctive french flavour and a new but similar logo," stated Di Stefano.
Giovanni Di Stefano announced also that famous artist and designer Viktor Galliano is to become Creative Artist at all three record companies. The new logos have all been designed by him.

"The record business is not just about music but about presentation and Viktor Galliano is the best in the business. Look at our new logos which outline the greatness of the past of these record companies but also the direction for the future," said Di Stefano.
Galliano has painted some of most powerful people in the world including King Abdullah of Jordan, the Chinese President, Putin, Blair as well as his recreation of famous artists and fresco art.
"I was surprised to receive a call from Mr Di Stefano and will do my best and most effort into this venture which revives history and points to a future in the music business. It is a fusion between music and art which I hope to create and make interesting to all," said Galliano from Paris.
Di Stefano stated that Pathe Records would have a distinctive " French flavour" and has already identified artists that will record on Pathe label including artists that "have great talent, play the clubs each night, but have never had the opportunity of recording. Pathe will give that chance and no one is excluded," said the lawyer.
Di Stefano welcomed new artists to send material.
