Robert W. Bivins, founding and managing partner of Bivins & Hemenway, P.A., has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Greater Brandon Area Chamber of Commerce.

Bivins (http://www.bhpalaw.com/attorneysRWB.html), Managing Partner of the Tampa Bay law firm, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Greater Brandon Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Bivins was elected from a list of five area business leaders to serve for a three year term on the Board.
The Brandon Chamber has a Board of Directors, which consists of approximately 22 members and the Chamber President. Established in 1959, the Brandon Chamber currently has approximately 1,800 members, which has doubled from 990 over the past ten years. Additionally, the Brandon Chamber is one of only 27 of the 6,935 chambers of commerce in the United States to be awarded the prestigious 5-Start Accreditation by the United States Chamber of Commerce.
Robert W. Bivins has practiced real estate, business law, and commercial law in the Tampa Bay area for over 25 years. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.A. in 1982 and from the University of Florida with a J.D., with honors, in 1985. Mr. Bivins was recently selected for inclusion in the 2010 addition of Florida Super Lawyers and was similarly recognized in 2009.
Mr. Bivins is a member of The Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Real Estate Investment Council of Tampa Bay, and is the Co-Chairman of the Commercial Law Practice Group (http://www.primerus.com/commercial_law.htm) for the International Society of Primerus Law Firms.
