As the personal tax return deadline closes in Tax Team's entire staff will be donating half the fees from a whole day of new client appointments to World Vision Canada.
Taxpayers were given a lot of breaks in 2009 by the Canadian government, and Tax Team Canada has had an excellent year, so this is a chance for us to give something back.
Throughout May the team will continue to raise money for World Vision, donating 5% of the fees from all new business during the month to the charity.

"April 26th is World Vision Day at Tax Team Canada, and we are going to keep it going through May" said the company's principal, Thomas Moore. "We choose a different charity each year. Last year it was the Vancouver Food Bank, but after the heartache in Haiti we decided to support World Vision this time.

"Taxpayers were given a lot of breaks in 2009 by the Canadian government, and Tax Team Canada has had an excellent year, so this is a chance for us to give something back. New clients will get the same detailed personal assessments as always, and know that while they are getting the best tax advice available they are also contributing towards a very worthwhile cause."

Tax Team Canada deals with corporate and personal tax issues, so this offer applies to new business and individual clients who are filing a 2009 tax return or planning on reducing their taxes in 2010. The deadline for personal tax returns in Canada is April 30th so Tax Team's World Vision Day has been planned to coincide with that on Monday April 26th.

Along with the money, Tax Team is hoping to raise awareness for World Vision Canada, which provides emergency relief, education, health care, economic development and promotion of justice in more than 90 countries. Recently the charity has been heavily involved in the emergency relief efforts in Haiti and China. It also has an ongoing presence in dozens of countries worldwide through its child sponsorship, advocacy and development programs.
