National Accident Helpline Launches Specialist Claims Advice Websites

National Accident Helpline has launched three new accident claims websites, offering detailed advice and information on making work accident, industrial accident and serious accident compensation claims

(PRWEB) April 29, 2010 -- National Accident Helpline has launched three dedicated web sites to cover industrial accidents, work accidents and serious accidents.

Accidents and injuries covered by the sites include repetitive strain injury, vibration white finger, construction accidents, workplace slips and trips, spinal cord injuries, back injuries and birth injuries.

We have developed these sites in response to consumer demand for detailed information
Beth Powell, consumer director of National Accident Helpline, said: “We have developed these sites in response to consumer demand for detailed information. Each site gives a thorough overview of the causes and symptoms of the injuries and explains how to seek compensation.

“The sites also address employees’ concern that they may lose their jobs for claiming against their employer. A successful claim will normally be covered by the liability insurance employers have for such eventualities, rather than coming out of the organisation’s cashflow. Making a claim can help to change bad practices and prevent future accidents.”

In 2008/09 there were 726,000 accidents at work and 1.2m people were suffering from an illness they believed was caused or made worse by their current or past work. Musculoskeletal disorders and stress were the most commonly reported illness types. In the same period 180 workers were killed at work and 29.3m days were lost due to work-related ill health or injury.

Visitors to the sites can view information covering details of types of industrial accident, serious accident and work accident claims, how to make a claim, likely compensation amounts and how the no win no fee process works. After discussing their accident or injury with a National Accident Helpline advisor, an enquirer will be referred to a specialist personal injury lawyer who will advise on how the claim can proceed.

As well as accessing information online, enquirers can also call 0800 279 8263.
