Millicorp Confident FCC Will Reign in Call Blocking of VoIP by Prison Pay Phone Providers Securus and Global Tel

United States District Court has recognized and deferred to the FCC as the proper arbiter for the call blocking issues raised in recent lawsuit.

The Court has recognized and deferred to the FCC as the proper arbiter for the call blocking issues raised in this lawsuit. Millicorp understands the court’s decision and has provided the FCC an update on the recently concluded litigation and hopes that the FCC will quickly make a decision on Millicorp’s pending Request for Investigation as well as the Securus Petition. In light of the Court’s ruling, Millicorp has requested that the FCC address the issues before it and bring resolution to this matter. Through its filings in this proceeding, Millicorp has demonstrated repeatedly that the empty security arguments raised by Securus lack any merit or basis, in fact or law.
