The May 2010 meeting of the CCTLA-Capital City Trial Lawyers Association will feature guest speaker John Demas of the Sacramento personal injury law firm of Demas & Rosenthal.
(Vocus/PRWEB ) April 30, 2010 -- Attorney John Demas, a partner in the Sacramento personal injury law firm of Demas & Rosenthal (http://www.injury-attorneys.com) has been chosen as a speaker for the next seminar offered by the Capitol City Trial Lawyers Association, also known as the CCTLA. This seminar is scheduled to be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 and Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Sacramento County Courthouse, 720 9th Street, Sacramento - Jury Assembly Room (2nd Floor). The subject of the seminar is entitled, “Jury Selection 2.0: A Hands On Seminar for an Interactive Generation.”
The seminar will provide information for attorneys who are members of the CCTLA regarding the Gerry Spence method of picking a jury and will include presentations from Mr. Demas and several other prominent members of the Sacramento trial lawyer community. Specifically, the seminar will deal with the legal, psychological and behavioral components that are part of selecting an appropriate jury, and will include participatory exercises and opportunities to practice reality-based techniques with regards to speaking to prospective jurors for a trial.
The 1.5 day program is one of many seminars offered to Sacramento trial lawyers who are members of the CCTLA, and it will also provide those who attend with the opportunity to earn 12 MCLE credits that go towards the overall requirements that attorneys must meet for continuing legal education in furtherance of their licenses to practice law in California.About John Demas
