All of us in the bookstore had our mouths drop open with your generosity. -Betty Groetschel, Librarian
Lake Forest, CA (PRWEB) February 7, 2010 -- As part of its ongoing efforts to reach out to the local non-profits and other local O.C. charities 215 Agenda, a local medical cannabis collective, has donated $1,500 to Friends of the El Toro Library and as part of an ongoing effort 215 Agenda will continue to collect used books for their annual used book sales.
The friends of the El Toro library store manager Marilyn Dillon was overwhelmed when 215 Agenda presented them with the $1,500 check and secretary Betty Groetschel commented “All of us in the bookstore had our mouths drop open with your generosity.” The library will be allocating the generous donation to improve their air filtration system.
"While attending a Lake Forest city council meeting we learned the local library was in real trouble. We immediately realized we were in a unique position to help. The members of 215 Agenda are compassionate giving people, and once notified they immediately began chipping in. It just filled our hearts with the joy of giving to turn the money over to the library. So we probably gained more than the library. We are currently looking for public schools we may be able to help through the current budget cuts and any other worthy community projects." -- Mark Moen, Director of 215 Agenda
215 Agenda was also able to collect several thousand dollars worth of toys for the Orangewood Children’s Home last Christmas from both patients and volunteers who helped fill and decorate several bins full of toys that were delivered on the 23rd of December.
The staff of 215 Agenda continue to reach out to the retirement community of Laguna Woods with a specialized delivery service while continuing to offer the lowest priced medication and greatest selection within a 3-5 minute drive of the gated retirement community.
