The 2 day workshop will touch on every aspect of the NERC CIP compliance requirements and what it will take to make sure that the power industry is in full reliability and security compliance. This will be a credible opportunity to understand new directions, regulations, and the federal government’s future agenda on cyber and physical security of power industry assets.

Speakers for this workshop include FERC Commissioner Spitzer, Special Agent Tomberlin with the FBI, Special Agent Molyneux with the FBI, Will Hatcher with Infragard, Brian Harrell from SERC, Dr. Lichtveld from Tulane University, James Holler from Abidance Security and many other CIP experts from within the industry.

Abidance Consulting has reserved the entire Waldorf-Astoria in New Orleans for this workshop, which allows us to take over the more than 500 guest suites at a much reduced rate and all 60,000 square feet of convention space so that our attendees and speakers can concentrate on this very important workshop. The workshop is only available to members of the power industry as well as to engineering firms, construction firms, legal firms, regional reliability organizations and all others who are directly associated with the power industry.

Commissioner Spitzer will give the keynote address and will be on hand to meet with the attendees one-on-one in private or in a group. Attendees will have eight different opportunities to attend the forty-minute NERC approved CIP-001 sabotage reporting training class. There will be a select few display booths on hand for those attendees who want to learn about the latest tools available to make their CIP compliance efforts run smoothly.
