Durham, NC (PRWEB) December 21, 2009 -- For the fourth consecutive year, employees from the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin were on hand to help make the Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center’s annual Teddy Bear Ball a rousing success. The 20th annual event raised more than $220,000 to support hospital programs.
Several James Scott Farrin employees donated their time setting up the decorations and the silent auction prior to the event.
“Helping people is what we do, both professionally and in our employees’ social service contributions,” says James S. Farrin, founder and president. “Since we are based in Durham and have many employees with children, contributing here was natural.”
The Teddy Bear Ball is one of the largest charity black-tie galas in the Triangle. It takes place yearly on the first Saturday in December. In addition to a wine tasting, a seated dinner and awards ceremony, the event includes both a silent and live auction, as well as dancing to a live orchestra. The 20th annual Teddy Bear Ball was held Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Durham Marriott Convention Center.
