Sendmail and Axway Announce Out-of-Court Settlement of Patent Infringement Disputes

Sendmail, Inc. and Axway have agreed to an out-of-court settlement of their disputes relating to U.S. patents

(PRWEB) November 23, 2009 -- Sendmail, Inc. and Axway announced today that they have agreed to an out-of-court settlement of their disputes relating to U.S. patents covering the management of email traffic at an enterprise's gateway, putting an end to the patent infringement suits* both companies filed against each other with the federal district court in San Francisco, Calif. in 2008. The patents involved in the suits included, Axway's Patent Nos. 6,609,196; 7,380,274 and 7,401,356 and Sendmail Patent Nos 6,865,671; 6,968,037 and 7,146,402. The mutually agreed-upon terms of the settlement are confidential.
