Masters Conference Appoints New Cabinet Members

Cabinet comprised of industry thought leaders including corporate counsel, law firm partners, consultants and top service providers

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) November 7, 2009 -- The Masters Conference, an advanced legal educational experience, announced today that it has appointed new cabinet members following the organization’s annual conference held in October. Newly appointed to the cabinet were Shawnna Childress, Chris Dale and Rob Lee.

Masters Conference cabinet members provide strategic direction to management to ensure the speakers and topics are of the highest quality and the conference remains the authoritative resource for legal professionals.

In this year’s down economy, the Masters Conference still produced record-breaking results. The conference, “Global Corporate Change – Navigating through Discovery, Risk and Security,” achieved record attendee registration and media coverage. Exhibitors from 2009 are re-signing contracts for the 2010 conference at a pace far exceeding all previous conferences. The Masters Conference executives and management are confident that the strategic direction provided by cabinet members will position it to achieve a new level of excellence in 2010.

Dan Regard, who has a lead advisory role in the cabinet for the Masters Conference, commented, “I am eager to collaborate with other cabinet members and know that their contribution will bring forth an agenda, sessions and panelists that bolster the legal professionals’ experience with the Masters Conference.”

Cabinet members for the Masters Conference include:

  • Christopher A. Byrne, Former Assistant Director, Division of Liquidation, FDIC
  • Shawnna Childress, Director at LECG and co-author of the book, eDiscovery Plain & Simple
  • Chris Dale of the UK’s e-Disclosure Information Project
  • Ronald Hedges, Former United States Magistrate Judge, District of New Jersey
  • Robert Lee, Faculty at SANS Institute and co-author of the book, Know your Enemy
  • Fernando Pinguelo, Partner & Co-Chair of Response to Electronic Discovery and Information Group (REDI), Norris McLaughlin & Marcus
  • Dan Regard, Principal, iDiscovery Solutions, Inc.

In addition to cabinet member participation, the Masters Conference held in October was orchestrated by a core team of professionals that have been involved with the conference for many years. And, beginning with this years’ conference, Walter Willey assumed a leadership role in the organization. Mr. Willey has served as Chief Financial Officer since early 2008 and has been intricately involved in the operational side of the conference. In 2009, he expanded his role in the organization and was named the Director of Operations. His past work experience includes ownership and operation of a successful consulting firm specializing in litigation support and forensic accounting. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Public Accountant.

“From an event standpoint, the Masters Conference will remain a smaller and more intimate educational conference that includes interactive sessions and networking opportunities where speakers, attendees, and exhibitors have the opportunity to share information and experiences with each other. We are pleased to have the talents and strengths of the cabinet members to guide us as we continue to expand our educational reach and capabilities. Their extensive knowledge and expertise will be invaluable as we transition to the next level,” stated Willey.
