Consultwebs.com Celebrates Berea Chamber Of Commerce Membership With 'Reverse Trick-Or-Treat'

Nationally known law firm marketing company greets Berea neighbors with costumes and candy.

Berea, KY (PRWEB) November 7, 2009 -- Consultwebs.com, a Web site design and law firm marketing company with offices on Berea’s College Square, celebrated its membership in the Berea Chamber of Commerce last week with a "reverse Trick-or-Treat" for the company's business neighbors.

On Oct. 29, Consultwebs.com president Lisa M. Vaughn learned that the company had been approved for membership in the Berea Chamber of Commerce. That sparked the unusual Halloween celebration.

“We wanted to greet our neighbors,” said Vaughn. “We did this by dressing in costumes and having a 'Reverse Trick-or-Treat' where we distributed treat bags containing candy and a small note to the businesses near ours.”

The goals of the Halloween event -- developing familiarity and friendships among local businesses -- fit well with the spirit of the Chamber of Commerce....

Consultwebs' employees greeted their neighbors costumed as a skeleton, a witch, a cat, a fallen Union soldier and Bat Man, among other characters.

“It actually turned into quite an event,” Vaughn said. “We didn’t realize the number of tourists that were in town and we had a great time greeting them as well.”

Among the businesses that Consultwebs employees visited were a café, an art gallery, a woodworking shop and a tourism agency. They also shared their Halloween gift-giving on the nearby Berea College campus.

Celebrating the company’s Chamber of Commerce membership and the reverse Trick-or-Treat had originally been separate ideas, Vaughn said. But the goals of the Halloween event -- developing familiarity and friendships among local businesses -- fit well with the spirit of the Chamber of Commerce, and the two endeavors were combined.
