China Business Knowledge Launches “China Prospects Forum” -- Dec. 9, 2009, New York City

From the Great Wall to Wall Street, China Prospects Forum breakfast series serves as a vehicle to educate investors and the greater New York business community about the sector of Chinese middle-market companies trading on U.S. capital markets.

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 17, 2009 -- China Business Knowledge (CBK) (www.chinabusinessknowledge.com) is launching the first in a series of breakfast events called “China Prospects Forum” to introduce the New York business and investment communities to the sector of Chinese-based companies trading on the U.S. capital markets. Aon Corporation is sponsoring the Dec. 9, 2009, launch event.

“Nearly 500 Chinese-based middle-market companies are listed on the U.S. capital markets, entering the market on the OTC BB via reverse mergers,” says China Business Knowledge publisher, Janet Stites. “Once they meet the criteria, they move up to the major markets--Amex, Nasdaq and NYSE. But even with strong revenues, respectable profits and the constant buzz about China business, many of these companies are trading under the radar and are undervalued by investors.”

Stites notes there are valid reasons for concern when investing in Chinese stocks and there is confusion about the market. It is for that reason CBK is launching “China Prospects Forum.” “As more investors look toward China for opportunities, we want to provide a venue where people can hash out issues such as confidence in financial statements, the role the government plays (or not) in specific industries, which sectors are most stable and the upside and downside risks of China investments in general,” she says. The forum also provides a much-needed networking event for the community already active in the sector.

The first forum will be held Dec. 9, 2009, at Twenty Four Fifth ballroom (24 5th Ave.), in Manhattan, 8:00-10:00 a.m. Panelists will discuss the process of how Chinese companies enter the U.S. market, changes in Chinese government policies which make it a good time to invest in China stocks and the outlook for overall growth potential.

Panelists Include, Gene Hsiao, Chief Financial Officer & Director, China Advanced Construction Materials Group (Nasdaq: CADC); Gary Liu, Director of Client Services, China Direct Industries (Nasdaq: CDII); Megan Penick, Esq., Penick & Associates LLC, Director, China Wind Systems (OTC BB: CHWY); Larry Wizel, Retired Partner, Deloitte (Chinese Services & Technology Groups), Director for 3SBio In. (Nasdaq: SSRX), American Oriental Bioengineering (NYSE: AOB) & Puda Coal (Amex: PUDA).
