Law360 Introduces Four New Daily Email Newsletters for Business Lawyers

Law360 launches new practice area sections for areas of Corporate Finance, Contract Law, International Trade and Appellate Law

New York (PRWEB) September 14, 2009 -- Law360, the fast-growing online news service for business lawyers in private, corporate and government practice, today announced the launch of four new practice area sections to complement its diverse range of daily online newsletters.

The new sections are for the legal practice areas of Corporate Finance, Contract Law, International Trade and Appellate Law.

With the addition of the four new sections, Law360 now publishes 16 daily online newsletters in virtually every major practice area of interest to leading law firms, reporting on emerging news of importance to each practice area and delivering that content to their customers' email inboxes every morning. The company's paid subscriber base for the Law360 newsletters includes 99 of the top 100 law firms, thousands of corporate counsel and virtually every major government enforcement agency.

"We're excited about the launch of these four new sections on Law360 because they give us an expanded online platform for serving the needs of our existing subscribers, as well as enabling us to provide valuable content to a new audience of business lawyers who are focused on the important disciplines of corporate finance, contract law, international trade and appellate practice," said Marius Meland, chief executive officer of Portfolio Media, publishers of Law360.

The four new Law360 sections include:

  • Corporate Finance -- covers financing and deal making from a legal perspective, such as major mergers and transactions, equity and debt issuance, securitization, project finance and public finance, along with related litigation and regulatory developments;
  • Contract Law -- covers late-breaking developments in commercial litigation, especially contract disputes between businesses involving claims over $5 million, and tracks important federal and state disputes regarding breach of contract, tortuous interference and common-law unfair competition claims;
  • International Trade -- covers litigation, regulation and legislation related to exports and imports, keeping practitioners up to date on the latest developments related to tariffs, trade agreements, antidumping and state aid; and
  • Appellate Law -- covers late-breaking developments in appellate litigation by tracking all key appellate litigation across the United States, both on the state and federal levels, with a particular focus on the U.S. Supreme Court and the federal courts of appeals.

"Each of these new sections will be filled with the same original news and information content for which our reporters have become known in our other daily email newsletters," said Meland. "With the aid of our sophisticated tracking systems for dockets and regulatory filings, our reporters break major developments in litigation, deal making and legislation before anyone else, with more than two-thirds of our stories being published either before or simultaneously with any other news source."
