Led by its four partners, Sharon Knobbe, Rebecca Laho, Frank Gradishar and Maria Tolva Mack, the firm will offer its clients experienced and committed representation in the areas of family law, estate planning, residential real estate and collections. The firm will also handle traffic cases. Between its partners the firm has over 44 years experience representing clients in family law and civil litigation matters. The firm will accept cases in DuPage, Kane, Will and Kendall counties. Their excellent reputations in the legal community combined with the reasonable approaches taken on all cases sets them apart from other firms.
Sharon Knobbe has concentrated her practice for the past 10 years in the area of Family Law. She is currently the Third Vice President of the DuPage County Bar Association and will assume the Presidency in June of 2012. Sharon chaired the Family Law committee of the DCBA from 2007- 2008. She is a Past President of the DuPage Chapter of the Justinian Society of Lawyers. Sharon is also First Vice President of the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers and will take over the Presidency of that organization from her partner Rebecca Laho, in June of 2010.
Rebecca Laho has concentrated her practice in the areas of family law matters, estate planning and residential real estate. In her 8 years of experience she has represented clients in DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Will and Cook Counties. In June of 2009 Rebecca was installed as the President of the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers. In addition to family law, Rebecca has experience representing plaintiffs in personal injury litigation as well as other areas of civil litigation defense.
Frank Gradishar has seven years of litigation experience representing clients in a variety of civil matters. Before concentrating his practice in the family law arena he represented the City of Chicago as a municipal prosecutor. Following that Frank gained civil trial experience as an associate attorney with law firms specializing in insurance litigation. He has tried over 25 cases to verdict in Cook County. He has also practiced criminal law and was general counsel for a real estate developer.
Maria Tolva Mack has 19 years of experience as an attorney. She concentrates her practice in the area of family law and related matters including administrative hearings on behalf of individuals appealing a finding against them by Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. She previously served for three years as outside counsel for DCFS. Maria spent the early years of her career with a large insurance defense law firm where she tried over 75 civil jury cases to verdict in DuPage, Kane, Cook and Will counties. Maria is a Past President of the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers and is the current Treasurer for the Justinian Society of Lawyers - DuPage Chapter. She will assume the presidency of that organization in 2013.
Both Sharon Knobbe and Maria Mack are Adjunct Faculty members at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. They teach a variety of courses in the Paralegal Studies Program including introduction to paralegal studies, family law and legal research & writing.
