New York, NY (PRWEB) July 23, 2009 -- Stanacard, a leader in low-cost international calling, has announced the entry of injunctions against companies accused of infringing upon its patented calling technology. In its case against Jaxtr, Lets 101 and Global Telelinks -- case number 1:2009cv01340, Stanacard, LLC v. JAXTR, Inc. et al -- the US District Court for the Southern District of New York has entered three separate Consent Orders and Permanent Injunctions which enjoin those companies from infringing any claims of Stanacard's US patent 7,346,156.

Stanacard will continue to pursue legal actions against Rebtel (Stanacard, L.L.C. v. Rebtel Networks, AB et al, 1:2008cv04859, New York Southern District Court), Jajah (Jajah Inc v. Stanacard LLC,    3:2009cv00580, California Northern District Court) and other services, which Stanacard believes also infringe upon this patent. The technology, which allows telephone users to connect to international telephone numbers by dialing a local number, reduces the cost of global calling and makes the experience simpler for customers.
