Attorney Scott L. Melton has focused his practice on medical malpractice and personal injury law for over 30 years. Attorney Melton is pleased to join the team of medical malpractice attorneys at Richards & Richards, LLP, a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania law firm.

Warrendale, PA (PRWEB) March 6, 2009 --Richards & Richards, LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Attorney Scott Melton to the medical malpractice team. Attorney Melton brings with him over 30 years of extensive trial experience in areas of medical malpractice and personal injury. He joins a team of three very experienced medical malpractice attorneys including Veronica Richards, Jean Manifesto and Sandra Neuman.

Attorney Melton was listed in The Best Lawyers in America (First Amendment Law, 1993-2008, inclusive), Pennsylvania Super Lawyers (Medical Malpractice, 2004), Pittsburgh Magazine "Best Lawyers" (2006-2007 and 2008). He also served as a lecturer on Medical Malpractice for state and local bar associations and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice.

Attorney Melton's current involvements include Beaver County (past president), Allegheny County, Pennsylvania (Medical-Legal Committee, 1987) and American Bar Associations. He is actively involved in the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Association for Justice (member, Board of Governors, 1998-2000), Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association (member, Board of Governors, 1998-2000), American Association for Justice, and American Inns of Court.

For over 30 years Attorney Melton has maintained and managed a Beaver County office. He is proud to have won some of the largest plaintiff medical malpractice verdicts in Beaver County. He has also litigated cases in federal court and in many western and central Pennsylvania counties including, Allegheny, Lawrence, Westmoreland, Washington, Fayette, Blair, Cambria, and Mercer. He has also practiced in Ohio on several occasions.

Attorney Melton graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1974 and received his JD from Duquesne University in 1977. He currently resides in Moon Township with his wife Angela, who is also an attorney and their four children. He is an active member of the Moon Township Planning Commission.
