"Our main objective is to raise community awareness about the dangers of drunk driving and encourage individuals to make responsible choices by providing a safe transportation alternative," said Steve Fleschner, Attorney and Co-Founder of Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin.

The Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program will be available from 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, through 3 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2009.

To request a free cab ride home, individuals can call Yellow Cab of Terre Haute at (812) 478-5000 and tell them Fleschner Law is paying for their safe ride home.

Free cab rides are provided to an individual's residence in Terre Haute or West Terre Haute--not to other drinking locations. Due to the high number of ride requests on St. Patrick's Day, rides cannot be guaranteed for everyone who calls; however, every attempt will be made to accommodate everyone who requests a ride home. Drivers have the right to use their discretion when accepting fares.

About Safe and Sober
Launched on New Year's Eve 2008, the Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program provides a safe transportation alternative during many of the traditionally high alcohol consumption holidays. Free cab rides are made available on New Year's Eve, St. Patrick's Day, and Halloween to area residents who otherwise might attempt to drive home after drinking. Rides are provided to an individual's residence--not to other drinking locations.
