Former General Counsel To CMA CGM (America) LLC Joins Williams Mullen's Norfolk Office

Williams Mullen announces that Marc G. Marling has joined the firm's Norfolk, Virginia office as a partner.

Norfolk, VA (Vocus/PRWEB ) February 18, 2009 -- Williams Mullen announces that Marc G. Marling has joined the firm's Norfolk, Virginia office as a partner. Mr. Marling has over 10 years of experience as a transportation and logistics attorney and as a commercial lawyer. He has counseled senior management on international commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, maritime law, environmental issues and government relations. Prior to joining Williams Mullen, Mr. Marling served as vice president and general counsel to CMA CGM (America) LLC in Norfolk.

Mr. Marling has experience overseeing the legal affairs for labor and employment issues, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, marine claims, supply chain security and environmental regulation and compliance, corporate governance, e-commerce, regulatory compliance and government relations.

He is a member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States where he serves as vice chairman of the technology committee. He also sits on the Board of Directors and the Long-Range Planning Committee for the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute.

Mr. Marling received his bachelor of arts degree from Widener University and a certificate in chartering from the State University of New York Maritime College. He received his juris doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law.
