Leading Trial Presentation Software Now Offers Advanced PDF and Mac Support
Gilbert, AZ (PRWEB) December 19, 2008 -- inData Corporation announced today the release of the newest version of TrialDirector®, its award-winning trial presentation software. TrialDirector version 5.2 builds upon the success of its predecessors that won the Law Technology News awards for Trial Presentation Software the past three consecutive years.
With TrialDirector v5.2, a user can instantly view, annotate, and redact PDF files (including those containing Chinese, Japanese, and Korean character sets) without Adobe Acrobat Reader or any special plug-ins installed on the computer. Users can print PDF files with or without annotations and bar codes for trial and even create new PDF files out of selected documents.
TrialDirector v5.2 now supports MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DVD-VOB, and MOV QuickTime video files (e.g. video depositions) for movie quality pictures used for playback in the courtroom. The software is unique in that it actually includes an MPEG-2 codec for an excellent video viewing experience out-of-the box.
Other new features include Mac® support, the ability to automatically assign exhibit numbers, complete user customization of the presentation toolbar, expanded closed captioning options, and more. Fans of the TrialDirector v4.x series will particularly like the new data grid viewer for viewing, sorting, and editing information about case documents. A complete list of the new features and evaluation software is available on the company's Web site.
"We've seen an increasing use of PDF files in litigation over the past few years, particularly because many electronic filings originate in that format," said Derek Miller, CEO & President of inData Corporation. "While TIF images are still preferable when it comes to presentation, we've given our customers expanded flexibility to use PDF images when needed. The amount of time this feature can save while preparing a case for trial is invaluable. "
TrialDirector v5.2 is a free update to licensees of TrialDirector versions 5.0 or 5.1 with a current maintenance contract. Single-user licenses of TrialDirector v5.2 start at $595, plus maintenance. Special savings are available for site license packages, which provide unlimited installations of TrialDirector within a law firm or company.
