Houston Law Firm Named to Steering Committee on Medtronic Litigation

The Houston law firm Williams Kherkher has been named to the steering committee on Medtronic litigation.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) June 3, 2008 -- Williams Kherkher Hart Boundas, LLP, announced today that attorney Jim Doyle was appointed to the National Multi-District Litigation Plaintiffs' Steering Committee in the Medtronic Sprint Fidelis Leads cases. The MDL is in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Doyle and several other Williams Kherkher attorneys are involved in this litigation.

Medtronic is the largest manufacturer of implantable defibrillators. Because defects in the defibrillators' electrical leads, known as Sprint Fidelis leads, were thought to cause electric shock and even death, these leads were taken off the market. Williams Kherkher has signed up several hundred clients who suffered serious injury and death due to these defects.

Williams Kherkher is one of Texas' largest litigation firms. Since its founding, the firm has represented tens of thousands of clients. Most notably, we were one of five firms that represented the state of Texas against the tobacco industry, which resulted in one of the largest settlements in American history.
