Next Phase of Awareness Building, A Pointed Question for Motorists to Consider

Chiropractic stroke support group sharpens its public message with new billboard in old location.

Wethersfield, CT (PRWEB) January 24, 2008 -- The Chiropractic Stroke Awareness Group (CSAG) has taken the next step in its outdoor advertising campaign in Connecticut.

Starting January 22nd motorists driving along the Connecticut Turnpike in Fairfield (near the University of Bridgeport, College of Chiropractic) began seeing a new billboard asking the question, "Have you been injured by a chiropractic manipulation?" The University of Bridgeport is one of nineteen chiropractic schools in the United States educating future chiropractors.

"This next phase is sharpening our message," said Britt Harwe, Founder of CSAG. "The public needs to know that chiropractic 'adjustments' can cause severe injuries, permanently disabilities and even death."

An expanding grassroots movement is adding to the financial resources available for raising public awareness about the potentially severe health risks of chiropractic manipulation. In recent months CSAG has been able to fund television commercials, print advertisements, transit bus ads and Yellow Pages display ads in Connecticut. Other support groups around the country are now in the process of implementing similar awareness campaigns.

"We are delighted by the response to our efforts," Harwe said.

CSAG represents hundreds of people across the country who have been injured by chiropractic treatment. Potential risks can include stroke, permanent disability and even death.
