Sawyer comes to Littler from Tucker Arensberg, where he was chair of the employee benefits practice group. He is experienced in drafting qualified retirement plans as well as nonqualified and equity-based compensation plans.

Sawyer has represented and counseled employers on the administration and operation of all types of employee benefits, including compliance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and the Internal Revenue Code. He has also worked with sponsors, administrators and fiduciaries in matters involving the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor and other government agencies.

“We are thrilled to welcome David to our office and the firm,” said John Cerilli, office managing shareholder of the Pittsburgh office. “His knowledge and experience in employee benefits strengthens our ability to serve our clients — particularly those in the Pittsburgh area — as well as our commitment to providing efficient and effective solutions.”

Sawyer said he has long appreciated Littler’s high standards and quality resources.
“It is an honor to join a firm with a reputation such as Littler’s,” said Sawyer. “I look forward to working with my new colleagues and continuing with the firm’s tradition of delivering high quality legal services to its clients.”
