Based on feedback from Equivio>Relevance's rapidly growing customer base, major enhancements include:
- One-pass multiple issue management - Attorneys often need to work on several issues in parallel for a given case. Equivio>Relevance V3.0 supports concurrent tagging for all issues, enabling one-pass review of the document collection.
- Rolling loads and ranking catch-up mechanism - Equivio>Relevance V3.0 includes enhanced, built-in support for rolling loads, monitoring the knowledge accumulated in earlier loads to accelerate the processing of subsequent loads.
- Self-configuring algorithms - Equivio>Relevance V3.0 is self-configuring, which means that it automatically determines the optimal configuration of the analytical model, depending on characteristics of the data being processed.
- Enhanced document import capabilities - Equivio>Relevance V3.0 provides enhanced operability in the document import phase. The new version supports text extract as a fully-automated component within the import process, rather than as a separate preliminary process.
The release includes several other new features, such as GUI improvements and support for Oracle V10g. In parallel, the Equivio SDK has been updated to include all new features and enhancements in Equivio>Relevance V3.0 to support the needs of OEM customers.
Equivio>Relevance leverages innovative technology to introduce a higher level of flexibility, control and accuracy into the eDiscovery process. Based on initial input from a lead attorney, Equivio>Relevance uses statistical and self-learning techniques to calculate graduated relevance scores for each document in the data collection. Using a statistical model, Equivio>Relevance achieves high levels of recall and precision, helping overcome the challenges of over and under-inclusion that characterize traditional keyword-based methods. By organizing the review set according to relevance scores, Equivio>Relevance is used for early case assessment, pre-filtering and prioritization of review.
