For the 5th consecutive year, the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin has supported the annual Mix 101.5 WRAL-FM Radiothon to benefit Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center in Durham, North Carolina.

Durham, North Carolina (PRWEB) March 3, 2010 -- For the 5th consecutive year, the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin has supported the annual Mix 101.5 WRAL-FM Radiothon to benefit Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center in Durham, North Carolina.

This year the firm served as a “Circle of Compassion” sponsor and several of its staff members volunteered their time manning the phone bank.

“Due to the personal experience of some of our staff members, Duke Children’s Hospital is a cause that is near and dear to almost everyone in the firm,” said James S. Farrin, founder and president.
Duke Children’s Hospital holds a special place in the heart of the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin. At six-weeks, Grace Sanchez was diagnosed with a heart defect that required open heart surgery. Both of Grace’s parents work at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin. The successful surgery was performed at Duke Children’s Hospital which treats more than 200 children with heart defects annually. James Scott Farrin’s support is one small way the firm can give back to this important community resource.

“Due to the personal experience of some of our staff members, Duke Children’s Hospital is a cause that is near and dear to almost everyone in the firm,” said James S. Farrin, founder and president. “Every year, more people volunteer to man the phone banks than there are slots to fill.”

The 16th annual event raised more than $1 million to support hospital programs, including Camp Kaleidoscope for children with serious illnesses.

Employees from the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin also volunteer yearly to support Duke Children’s Hospital’s annual Teddy Bear Ball in December.
