McLean, VA (PRWEB) March 8, 2010 -- Last Friday, Dr. Siegal's Direct Nutritionals, LLC, the global distributor of Dr. Siegal's COOKIE DIET® brand products, received this year's Rising Star award in the Diet & Energy category at the 2010 GNC Vendor Awards held at the 21st Annual Arnold Classic multi-sport event in Columbus, Ohio. The Rising Star award recognizes vendors new to GNC whose products have shown significant initial sales at GNC stores and GNC.com.

Dr. Sanford Siegal developed the concept of a diet based on a hunger-controlling food in the early 1970s while writing a book about substances in food that are particularly satisfying of hunger.
