Luther moved to HPCK after serving as an Assistant Prosecutor for more than 25 years in New Jersey. He was the First Assistant Prosecutor and Trial Chief for the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office, then moved to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, where he served as the Section Chief of the Major Crimes Unit and also worked in the trial team, grand jury and juvenile units. Luther has successfully tried dozens of homicide cases in his career and has also been featured on legal television programs such as Court TV and Due Process.
