Howard has joined the firm as a Partner and Seikaly serves as Counsel to the firm. Meena T. Sinfelt has also joined the DC office as an Associate. All three are part of the firm’s Corporate Compliance, Investigations and Defense (CCID) Practice Group and will focus their practice on white-collar criminal matters, corporate compliance, ethics issues, internal investigations and complex civil litigation. Washington, D.C. (Vocus/PRWEB ) January 28, 2010 -- Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that Roscoe C. Howard, Jr. and Daniel S. Seikaly have joined the firm’s Washington, DC office.
Howard has joined the firm as a Partner and Seikaly serves as Counsel to the firm. Meena T. Sinfelt has also joined the DC office as an Associate. All three are part of the firm’s Corporate Compliance, Investigations and Defense (CCID) Practice Group and will focus their practice on white-collar criminal matters, corporate compliance, ethics issues, internal investigations and complex civil litigation.

The many significant matters Howard handled, in addition to his work at DOJ, include his work as Associate Independent Counsel in the investigations of former Secretary of Agriculture, A. Michael Espy, and former Secretary of H.U.D., Samuel R. Pierce.
Prior to his appointment as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Howard was a tenured Law Professor at the University of Kansas School of Law. He also served as law clerk to the Honorable Raymond L. Finch of the Territorial Circuit in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Howard earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Brown University.
Seikaly also had a distinguished DOJ career prior to entering private practice. He served as the Chief of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, Assistant Inspector General for Investigations at the Central Intelligence Agency and Associate Deputy Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice. Seikaly earned his law degree from Wayne State University Law School and his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University.
