Online Information 2009 Exhibition Focuses on Mainland Europe

1-3 December at Olympia Grand Hall, London, UK: Online Information 2009 is focusing on innovation and emerging technologies across Mainland Europe with two brand new features -- The French Pavilion which is dedicated to showcasing innovative technologies and solutions from France, and The European Librarians’ Theatre which hosts sessions on topical issues facing librarians. The presentation line up includes speakers from a number of different countries, providing a variety of viewpoints, and introduces German, French, Italian and Nordic Forums.

London, UK (PRWEB) November 13, 2009 -- 1-3 December at Olympia Grand Hall, London, UK: Online Information 2009 is focusing on innovation and emerging technologies across Mainland Europe with two brand new features The French Pavilion features a number of high profile companies including Bureau van Dijk Information Management, Cybion, Carin Info, Enerdata, Qwam Content Intelligence, Organisation Spat and Spotter. This brand new aspect of the event has been organised in conjunction with GFII and Ubifrance. GFII is the French Association for players within the information and knowledge marketplace. The French Trade Commission-Ubifrance promotes business development between France and the UK and offers a range of services to French companies. The French Trade Commission-Ubifrance will also co-host the GFII stand.

The European Librarians’ Theatre, located in the Gallery Suites on the gallery level at the show, will host sessions that focus on topical issues facing librarians. With input from expert information practitioners from the UK, USA and around Europe, the discussions will examine current and future issues facing librarians. The sessions are held in English and introduce EBSCO as the European Librarians Theatre Partner and SLA Europe as the Learning Partner. The programme has been put together in conjunction with SLA Europe Coordinator Marie Madeleine Salmon, Head of Information Centre, Publicis. Some of the most popular sessions will endeavour to scrutinise country comparisons and new roles for information professions.

This theatre also hosts the German, French, Nordic and Italian Forums. These are sessions held in the local language designed to offer visitors the chance to meet new colleagues and catch up with old friends and discuss the event in an informal environment.
