A New Online Service, Named Expert Answers, Takes the Headache out of Getting Sound Legal Advice at Moderate Cost

If you have ever thought there must be a simple answer to a legal question, but you aren't sure whether to believe what you find on the Internet, you can now ask for Expert Answers.

Chester, Cheshire Tuesday (PRWeb UK/PRWEB ) November 7, 2009 -- Expert Answers aims to provide a simple, one-stop service where anyone can post a question on http;//www.expert-answers.co.uk [legal matters and get a 'good guide' answer. Set up by a team including lawyers and Web experts, the new Website was inspired by a mutual client frustrated by his own experiences of trying to find out what he needed to know.

"He was very experienced in using the Internet but he wasn't finding what he needed, and he was wasting quite a lot of time - and when it's business, time is money! Also, as Tim Berners Lee has said, people can't always be sure that what they read on the Internet is absolutely trustworthy," says Lloyd Barrett, of FLAME:Media, who is one of the founder-members of Expert Answers. "It was quite a concern that people looking for fairly straight-forward legal information might try the Internet, and end up being completely misled."

The team see the new service as being increasingly important in the current economic climate. As Lloyd says, "Quite often, people see legal services as being expensive, so they look elsewhere first - and can end up being very much out of pocket by using the wrong information. Now anyone can get good, accurate legal information, and at a price they set for themselves: they can ask for Expert Answers."

From 2010, many 'non-legal' organisations (such as major supermarkets who have already begun offering services in non-traditional retail markets like financial services) can enter the legal services market:, and are likely to aim to provide low-cost 'no-frills' services. The Expert Answers team see the new service as eminently positioned to compete in this new market, as it offers an easy-to-use, low-cost but quality service provided by qualified and experienced legal practitioners.

Expert Answers is a private question and answer Website, not a forum: no public discussion means no opinions expressed by people who only think they know what they are talking about. Clients' personal details are never published.

Notes for News Editors

How does it work?
A client poses a question on the Website and sets a value on the answer, depositing payment. The question is made visible to experts in a relevant field, who are members of the Expert Answers team. The question is not visible to the public.

The aim is to answer questions as soon as possible, but the length of the answer and the detail may vary according to the fee paid. A relevant expert drafts an individual reply specific to the question: once the client has received an answer and has accepted it, the deposit becomes a payment to the Website, and a fee is paid by the website to the expert who provided the reply. The client is then in a good position to decide how to handle their situation.

Who is behind it?

Expert Answers is joint project between Ellesmere Port based solicitors Berkson Wallace and North Wales based Digital Marketing Agency Flame Media.
