Denver Family Law Firm Helping the Community

The Harris Law Firm of Denver, CO, lends a helping hand this holiday season, joining The Adoption Exchange.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) November 21, 2009 -- In November of 2009, The Harris Law Firm joined The Adoption Exchange (AE) to make the holidays a little brighter for the organization's many children who are waiting to be adopted by loving families. Every year, the attorneys and staff of The Harris Law Firm raise funds and purchase personalized holiday gifts that will be given to the foster children at The Adoption Exchange.

About The Adoption Exchange
Founded in 1983, the Adoption Exchange (AE) is a non-profit, child welfare organization that assists adoptive families by providing resource information and referrals, support, advocacy and education. The organization is dedicated to helping waiting children in Colorado find safe, loving, permanent homes.
Currently, more than 129,000 children in the United States are waiting for adoptive parents to release them from the uncertain future of living in foster care (AFCARS 2006). The children are survivors of traumatic abuse, neglect and abandonment. Many face barriers because they are school-aged, members of sibling groups who don't want to be separated, are coping with physical disabilities and struggling with emotional challenges as the result of their painful pasts. Since 1983, The Adoption Exchange has connected over 5,500 waiting children with permanent adoptive homes.
