(PRWEB) October 18, 2009 -- Asser Law Group, P.C. is proud to announce that Shoshana Tancer has joined the firm as Of Counsel. Ms. Tancer brings more than 30 years of legal experience in the field of immigration law and international business transactions.
The Asser Law Group, founded in 2004 is dedicated to helping individuals and small businesses with their immigration issues. The firm specialized in assisting European clients, as Mr. Asser was born and educated in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The addition of Ms. Tancer to our team enables us to expand our practice especially in the areas of business non-immigrant and immigrant visas and better represent Spanish speaking clients, due to Ms. Tancer's extensive experience in Latin and South America.
The full-service immigration boutique will continue to focus on assisting clients in all aspects of immigration and nationality law, including complex litigation matters, deportation and removal defense, asylum and family- and employment-based immigration.
Shoshana Tancer was admitted to the District of Columbia bar in 1957, the State Bar of Arizona in 1976, the United States District Court, District of Arizona and the United States Courts of Appeals, Ninth Circuit both in 1988.
She is a Professor Emeritus at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, where she taught for 31 years and served as director of their NAFTA Center. She has also served on the boards of two New York Stock Exchange Companies: one Mountain Bell, the precursor to Qwest; the other FINOVA, which financed mid-sized businesses. She has also been active in the community. A founding member of the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations, Charter 100, Arizona Women in International Trade.
We're also very pleased that Ms. Rebecca Anne McCarthy is joining the firm as an associate attorney. She focuses on all aspects of immigration law, including the very complicated area of removal defense and criminal immigration law. Rebecca graduated from New York Law School in 2005 and was admitted to the Arizona Bar in October 2009.
