For the third quarter ending September 30, 2009, sales increased 52 percent as compared to the same quarter in the prior year, and 70 percent sequentially from the second quarter. Sales were balanced, coming from new customer acquisitions of all sizes, existing customer expansions and new product purchases, and a renewal rate hovering at 98 percent.

New customer smartphone deployments ranged in size from as few as 80 mobile devices up to 8,000, with an average deployment size across all new customers of approximately 2,600. The total number of mobile end users managed under BoxTone software now stands at half a million.

“The proven ROI and productivity benefits of mobility have kept it at the front of the line for IT spending,” said Alan Snyder, CEO, BoxTone. “But enterprise mobility is complex, and continues to grow in size and importance. Only a purpose-built mobility management platform with discrete functional modules can solve each customer’s unique near- and long-term needs.”

“The current fiscal quarter reaffirms that the best-known enterprises, governmental agencies and MSPs continue to turn to BoxTone to manage their mobility investments,” said Snyder. “BoxTone management and monitoring software enables IT to securely manage a mobile workforce armed with all the latest devices – like the BlackBerry smartphone -- at a lower cost and risk, while ensuring mobile workers stay connected and productive.”

Other key achievements in the quarter included the launch of BoxTone Essentials for organizations with smaller smartphone deployments and modest budgets who still want to support their mobile users as effectively as the best-known companies; and the BoxTone User Self Service Module, enabling end users to check the real-time status of their end-to-end mobile service from a standard browser and follow simple instructions to resolve issues and take action 7 x 24, without any IT staff involvement.

BoxTone offers the most comprehensive set of plug-and-play software modules on the market to effectively manage, monitor and support mobile users provisioned to the Microsoft Exchange or IBM Lotus Domino platforms. Deployable in hours with no agents, no load and no risk, and suitable for mobility experts as well as IT pros new to the space, BoxTone users see real ROI whether they support 50 or 50,000 smartphones.

Added Snyder, “Combine great product, great support services, and the fast growing mobility space and you have a pretty exciting recipe for success – not just for BoxTone, but for our clients and partners as well.”
