E-Discovery Provider Anacomp to Sponsor at 2009 Masters

E-discovery services provider Anacomp, Inc. will sponsor and speak at the 2009 conference.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) September 15, 2009 -- The Masters Conference, an advanced legal educational experience, announced today that e-discovery services provider Anacomp, Inc. will sponsor and speak at the 2009 conference. The conference, entitled "Global Corporate Change - Navigating Discovery, Risk and Security," will be held October 13-14, 2009, at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. The Masters Conference will bring together experts and leading professionals from law firms, corporations, government entities and the bench to discuss strategies, practices and resources for managing the information lifecycle.

Chuck Kellner, Vice President of eDiscovery Consulting at Anacomp, will discuss how meet and confer is a huge opportunity to serve the best interests of clients by planning discovery at a reasonable and proportional cost. Lawyers are retained to be zealous advocates for their clients, but courts and industry groups are stressing their professional obligation to cooperate and to conduct discovery in a diligent and candid manner. The session will focus on how cooperation can align with advocacy in the high-stakes contest of electronic discovery as well as crucial information pertaining to clients' data, best practices in preparing for an effective meet and confer, and strategies to methodically employ advocacy, cooperation, and cost control.

Mr. Kellner's career experience in litigation practice, technology, litigation support, and electronic discovery contribute to his consulting, CLE programs, published articles, and his work with several industry groups. He has developed protocols for exchange of electronic data in myriad proceedings, including those before the Justice Department, the FTC and the FDA. He has testified on issues of cost and burden, cost shifting, scope and sufficiency of discovery, and computer forensic findings in fraud and trade secrets litigations. Chuck holds a JD from Lewis & Clark Law School and a BA from Brandeis University.

Three educational tracks will be presented each day of this year's conference. Each track will delve into the critical, up-to-the-minute issues facing legal departments and their outside counsel.

Tracks & Topics include:

  • Risk & Risk Management - Early assessment, managing international business dispute, records management, security, cyber risk, responding to scandal, and more…
  • Compliance & Privacy - Managing government investigations, data mapping, cloud computing, data privacy, and more…
