“As far as crime prevention topics go, we cover many different areas of law that elaborate on how citizens can protect themselves, and their property,” says Joanne Peters, a Legal instructor at Reeves College. “We cover Real Estate, Insurance Law, Litigation and Criminal Law just to name a few.”

Students of Reeves Legal Administrative Assistant and Paralegal diploma programs are taught how to work and think independently, which helps regular citizens get the help they need as soon as possible.

“Legal assistants and paralegals can complete tasks that allow lawyers to free up their time to work on more complex matters,” Peters says. “Our graduates have gained employment in law offices, the court system, government and insurance.”

With a system full of well-trained legal professionals, Albertans can breathe a little easier knowing there is a framework in place to help them when they need it the most. For those who are interested in career in law, Reeves College offers the comprehensive Legal Administrative Assistant diploma program that can be completed in less than a year.
