The Harris Law Firm Welcomes John H. Tatlock to the Firm

John H. Tatlock, Esq. hits the ground running in his first three months as Special Counsel for The Harris Law Firm.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) August 12, 2009 -- In John Tatlock's first three months as Special Counsel, he has already represented:

  • An ex-husband defending against a contempt motion for non-payment of spousal maintenance, with a successful outcome for the client;
  • A pair of husbands in temporary orders hearings with highly contested and substantially different factual allegations;
  • A husband in a permanent protective order hearing where the original order was obtained through the spouse's misrepresentations to the Court; and
  • A wife in a post-decree contempt proceeding where her ex-husband not only failed to make the payments to her the Court had ordered, but intentionally misrepresented the value of certain assets, including the wife's undelivered shares of stock valued in the millions.
Pleased to have joined one of the largest and most well-respected family law firms in Colorado, John Tatlock says that he is impressed that "The Harris Law Firm has pioneered one of the first truly "paperless" law offices. Not only are all case files - pleadings, correspondence, orders, and all the other case essentials - stored and accessed in electronic format, but the computer system allows ready access to a huge variety of legal and family law resources: client information, online research sources, family law experts and court filings." In addition to his trial work, Tatlock has also prepared an article for the September 2009 issue of The Colorado Lawyer titled "A Brief History of Legal Time." The article will be published summarizing more than 170 amendments to the federal time-computation rules scheduled to go into effect on December 1, 2009. A detailed discussion of the pending time-computation rules changes has been scheduled at the Colorado Bar Association CLE program on October 7, 2009.

The Harris Law Firm is pleased to have John H. Tatlock on board as Special Counsel handing the firm's complex litigation and appeals.
