TASC's Legislative Director to Speak at NCSL Conference

Wesley Young will discuss debt settlement laws on Wednesday.

Madison, WI (PRWEB) July 22, 2009 -- Wesley Young, legislative director for The Association of Settlement Companies (TASC), will be a panelist at the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Legislative Summit in Philadelphia.

With the guidance of Young, TASC has been active on the legislative front, working to get fair legislation passed on a state-by-state and national level to encourage responsible conduct among debt settlement companies.

"This is a great opportunity to tell hundreds of legislators, staffers and government officials how TASC is working to protect consumers," Young said. "We have had laws that regulate our industry passed in several states and hope to add more."

Young is scheduled to speak on debt management services and state actions from the debt settlement perspective on Wednesday (July 22) along with Nessa Feddis (American Bankers Association), Jennifer Johnson (Center for Responsible Lending) and William Binzel (National Foundation for Credit Counseling).

Other speakers at the five-day summit include former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates and former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly.
